Islam has afforded great honour to all those who call out the <span class=\"il\">azaan<\/span>, inviting people towards salaah. On the day of Qiyaamah people will admire those who used to call out the <span class=\"il\">azaan<\/span> in the world on account of their esteemed position and lofty status in the Hereafter. (\u0645\u0633\u0644\u0645 \u0631\u0642\u0645 387)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em>Hadhrat Mu\u2019aawiyah (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: \u201c<\/em><em>Verily the mu\u2019azzins will have the \u201clongest necks\u201d on the Day of Qiyaamah.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this Hadith the literal meaning is not intended. Rather, the meaning of having \u201clong necks\u201d is that they will occupy distinct positions of honour. The first muazzin of Islam was Hadhrat Bilaal (Radhiallahu Anhu). The first is that person who used to call out the <span class=\"il\">azaan<\/span> everyday for the five daily salaah. The second is that person who led the people in salaah while they were pleased with him (i.e. he fulfilled the obligation of salaah in its proper manner).
