As part of the daily after Fajr program regarding the life of a Muslim, the following is the explanation of Istigfaar – seeking the forgiveness of Allah Ta’ala<\/p>\n

Rasulullah Sallalahu alayhi wa\u00a0Sallam used to recite :\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0623\u0633\u062a\u063a\u0641\u0631\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 ~ Astagfirullah\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(I seek forgiveness of Allah)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

at least 100 times a day.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ponder on what type of life do we want to enjoy? A heedless life of committing sinful haraam acts or a life of taqwa and piety? When we are weak and feeble in our obedience to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta\u2019ala<\/em>, the word\u00a0Taqwa (piety)<\/i>\u00a0that we so often hear, seems so difficult to attain. However, when we decide to take that baby step towards Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta\u2019ala<\/em>, He will most definitely come running towards us! Through regular\u00a0Taubah (repentance) and Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness),\u00a0<\/i>one can gain the enjoyment of Taqwa\u2026\u00a0[<\/em>Moulana Naeem Motala \u2013\u00a0Daamat Barakaatuhum]<\/em><\/p>\n

Transliteration: <\/strong><\/em>\u201cAstaghfirullah al-\u2019Azeem al-lazi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilaih \u201d
\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Translation:\u00a0<\/strong>I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy of worship\u00a0except Him, The Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him<\/em><\/p>\n

even if he has committed sins as much as the the foam of an ocean, still he will be forgiven.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas Radiyallahu Anhu<\/em> narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam<\/em> said: \u201c<\/strong>The one who [regularly] says Istighfaar, \u00a0Allah Azza Wa-Jal will open a path for him from all difficulties, remove him from all sorrow, and grant him sustenance from unimagined and unexpected sources.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/strong> ~ [Abu Dawud]<\/p>\n
