As part of the daily after Fajr program regarding the life of a Muslim, the following is a Sunnah Dua for Gaining Allah’s guidance and protection against the evils of the heart
Imran Bin Hussain (RA) narrates that Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم taught his father Hussain (RA) the following two du`as, which he used to read continuously: “O Allah, inspire me with guidance (to make the correct and best decisions in times of dilemma) and protect me from the mischief of my soul.’ (Tirmidhi)
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَلْهِمْنِىْ رُشْدِىْ وَاَعِذْنِىْ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِىْ
Translation: Oh Allah, inspire me with guidance and protect me from the evil of myself
